The timing of my first week of finally getting my act together and start blogging about my stock trading was not optional. The American stock market plummet and everything was all of a sudden red. A proper blood bath to start the new year of 2022. I changed the algorithm and have now changed it again for the next selection of stocks. I actually created a screener that selects stocks in a way I have wanted for a long time. I wonder why it had to take this long. Well, no reason to shed any tears. I’m just glad that I finally got it together and can stop the programming misery. It’s totally useless and boring. I decide to drop the stocks selected with the first algorithm for the weekly average. I don’t know if I will calculate like this in the future, but I have to start some where.

I realized that the old algorithm probably just works in an upwards trend. It’s just to fragile and just can’t stand the pressure. When in upwards trend it will probably fly, with greater ROI. I will try it when then market starts to go up again. The tweaked algorithm seems to stand the pressure better and it can move upwards even when the trend says otherwise. The best would be to stay of the trading when market is plumbing, but I’m to curious for that. I got rid of the dead meat and added 2 new stocks with the new algorithm. Let’s see what we can produce today.

The bloodbath of 2022! That was a fine how do you do from the new year. Wasn’t it? Or rather from the Fed. Always check if the Fed is discussing the inflation and what to do with the interest rates. Market becomes hysterical and everybody that decides to buy stocks at this, the wrong, moment will loose money. That is, if I panic and try to sell them of at once. Don’t panic, and trust the process. My selected stocks will recover. The tweaking of the algorithm ment that I select stronger stocks that will regain strength after this setback and will start climbing again.

I really do not want to mention yesterdays bloodbath. My stocks took a heavy hit, all but one. But I see no reason to worry. The selected stocks were all on the way up. It was just a bump in the road. I changed a bit on the algorithm for selecting the stocks. Looking at historical data, it’s the right thing to do.

Restarting my, so far pretty futile, attempt to tame the American stock market so I can become a millionaire. I started to study order flow analysis to increase the possibility of predicting the price movements of the selected stocks.
